About this course

The Ayurvedic approach to using herbs is quite different to the Western approach and a great deal can be learnt by applying these very old and tested principles. Ayurveda does not focus on “biochemical components” and isolating “active chemicals” from plants.  This approach is considered to ignore the plant’s capacity to work on the conscious intelligence of our body.

Ayurveda takes a much more holistic view of a plant's abilities and how to use them to very good effect. Mona will take you through the age-old principles used and refined by Ayurvedic clinicians for centuries and shows you a new way to apply many of the herbs you currently use and resources to some new ones. Join her for this valuable exploration of Ayurvedic herbology.
What you receive:
  • Clear protocol explanations from some of the world's top practitioners
  • Clinical pearls for improved practice results
  • Access to your audio and video recordings via the App Store
  • A downloadable PDF of the presenter’s slides
  • Links to all referenced research papers and useful clinical handouts
  • Access to the community hub where you can get answers to your questions
  • A 30-day money back guarantee

From this course you will

  • Explore the definition of substances, per Ayurveda, and its importance to understanding herbology from the Ayurvedic perspective
  • Learn about the Ayurvedic system of substance classification: source, qualities, tastes, potency, post-digestive effect, specialized effect, effect on doshas, tissue and channel affinity, and actions
  • Gain an additional overview on other important concepts such as base preparations, formulas, adjuvants, and time of administration
  • Consolidate this theory with a talk-through of two sample herbs
