About this course

Sleep challenges are very common among psychiatric patients and are a critical barrier to recovery in many people with mental health issues. Sleep disturbance significantly worsens all patient’s mental health symptoms and increase the risk of relapse for those with addiction issues.

Dr. Hyla Cass is well known for her expertise in integrative psychiatry and natural approaches and non-drug solutions for sleep using nutrition, biochemistry, and holistic interventions. You will learn how to support patients’ healing potential, restore healthy sleep cycles, and identify factors hat disrupt natural sleep mechanisms like their medications, neurotransmitter imbalances through to gut health and nutrient deficiencies.
Hyla presents natural, practical, and science-backed methods for overcoming sleep problems in psychiatric patients.

Drawing on her experience as a psychiatrist and author, she explores how to activate the body’s “inner pharmacy,” correct nutritional and biochemical imbalances, and create a holistic environment for restorative sleep. This session combines case examples, core principles, tangible protocols, and up-to-date research, with actionable steps for implementation in practice.
